Title: Swirl 2

This one is a bit of a break from my more static pieces with some playful composition and accentuated movement. The painting of the main body was quick (which I really enjoyed) returning some days after completion to work on detail, balance and a focal point. I chose to add a rather distinctive gold border with loads of more thoughtful detail and some theatricality to calm down the impact of the spontaneity and to contain what might have otherwise bordered on chaos.
