Title: Hindi Art tribute

I’m a great fan of contemporary Indian Art, particularly work inspired by ancient Hindu Art.
This piece initially intended to reflect a religious panel, a strong deity image with intricate decorative treatment and strong cultural characteristics (of a strong and vibrant modern community).
When it was almost completed I painted out religious references; the painting looked to me far too much like a work that might be suitable for a travel brochure. I think that the abstractions are far more effective.
